"When life gives you shit, but takes everything..."
Living on the outskirts of the city of Baldur's Gate, a young human maiden fell in love with a wood elf passing through the region on his travels. From their love a child was born. He was named Tavariel, an ancient elven name - the only gift his father would ever give to him, since he would left him and his mother, to continue his quest, before the boy could even remember his face or voice.
It was exceptionally harsh winter, as it states in Baldurian's records, when the mother lost her fight to a severe fever and died, leaving just an 8 year old child alone on this world. Alone, lonely, cold and very hungy...
In his endeavour to stay alive, Tavariel sneaked into the city walls. Stealing food from the low city markets, running from Flame Fist guards, a cloked woman from a thief guild took notice.
"There you are my boy! What did I tell you about making troubles? Now, say sorry to those kind men and promise to never do that again."
She told with a smile on her face and a hint of a wink. And thus he found a new family. Not of choice, but of need.
As years passed Tavariel proved a great asset to the guild, thanks to his sleight of hand and nimble nature. Loved by many for his easy-going cheery character. Often teased by his drunken mates to perform jokes or songs at guild's tavern. The young half-elf, against all odds, managed to make his life enjoyable again. The thrill, the excitement, the spoils and riches drawing pretty eyes towards his direction.
Only one thing missing - something meaningful to live for... or someone.

This was my first BG3 character back at launch! And well, this is usually my go-to type of character I tend to play in any RPG. The neutral good rogue elf, or sometimes even true neutral.
OdpovědětVymazatOfc, I knew I'd be romancing Astarion with him, how couldn't I? Those two were so sassy around each other. Tav would know the "hard to get" game too well, so they were like two roosters crowing around. However, as we all know, Astarion had his mission, an aliance and shield to get.
When Tav learned the truth, he didn't see it coming. He gave in to the love in instant. Not that they would stop their bickering. Astarion would often disagree with Tav on many subjects. And it was Tav's influence, that shaped his decisions reguarding Cazador and his spawns. But in the end? There was nothing but true, deep love that was left and a promise of new beginings.
